11 Things You Didn’t Know About BBNaija’s Prince.

These ones will surprise you.

BBNaija, short for Big Brother Nigeria, is the new craze of the town. There’s no denying it. There’s no running away from it. In fact, if you’re a Nigerian then you know that BBNaija news now haunts us E-VE-RY-WHERE. It’s every other post on our news feed, it’s every other notification, it’s what everybody in your church and Whatsapp group is talking about. It is everywhere!

And this of course isn’t new, this is how it goes every single year. This season is BBNaija Season 5. We’re used to it. And this time around I’ve said to myself: okay, if you cannot beat them, join them! So this time around, I am watching Big Brother Nigeria.

My thoughts on that…are not why you clicked on this post today.

You clicked today because you want to see 11 Things You Didn’t Know About one of the most beloved housemates in the house today, Prince.

Obviously, all of the housemates in the house had lives before going into the house and although we have access to these housemates lives 24/7, there are some things we still don’t know about them from watching the television.

So, I have done some digging from the archives and I am here today to share with you 11 things you didn’t know about BBNaija’s Prince.

Are you ready to dive in? Then let’s go!

1. He is actually royalty

Prince Nelson Enwerem believe it or not is actually a real-life prince. His father, Royal Highness Eze Sir. Leo Mike Enwerem is the traditional ruler of the Umuebie Ugiri Mbano land.

2. He’s won multiple pageants

Prince is popular for winning the 2018 Mr. Nigeria Beauty Pageant, but what many don’t know is that asides from the Mr. Nigeria pageant, Prince was also the winner of the Face of University Nigeria unisex pageant in 2016.

3. He’s not a big fan of Buhari

On June 11, 2020 Prince took to social media to express his anger at Nigerian president, President Muhammadu Buhari.

He tweeted saying:

President Buhari and his administration is the worst thing that has ever happened to our generation #NorthernLivesMatter

4. He’s also a strong advocate against rape

After a devastating tirade of several rape reports started filling the internet around late May and early June, Prince took to social media wearing a “Let Love Lead The Way” shirt to express his frustration and opinions on the matter in a 4-minute 2-part video.

5. His mother is a big fan of reality television

She must be so happy that her son made it to the biggest one in Nigeria. When another Nigerian reality show, Ultimate Love, was on the air, Prince recounts how his mother’s love for the show was so strong that she didn’t allow him check any other channels. He wrote:

The way my mum likes all these reality shows ehh … small something I said lemme check another channel briefly, she’s threatening to kick me out of her house.. “if you want to change channel go to your house” #UltimateLoveNG

6. He wanted to be a lawyer

When he was much younger, a more naïve and more optimistic Prince wanted to become a lawyer. He took to Instagram to share a picture of his younger self wearing lawyer clothes while captioning the picture:

Birthday wishes to myself…… Looking at this picture and reminiscing about my childhood and all the big dreams I had, the lil brilliant straight A Nelson who wanted to be a lawyer, who thought life was a bed of roses, fast forward several years ahead and I don’t think so anymore but I know for sure that I can make my life a BEAUTIFUL GARDEN as long as I have God as my VINEDRESSER.

7. He has other siblings that he feels are way finer than him

Despite being Mr. Nigeria, Prince still says that amongst his siblings, he feels like the one that’s least attractive. He took to Twitter to write:

Have you ever looked at all your siblings and be like “naaaahhh na me ugly pass”😔

That’s me right now Man 🤦‍♂️

To make matters worse I’m the shortest male 😩

This people really cheated me #HotTears 😭

8. He was once confused for Swanky JKA

Swanky JKA

And it’s a very hilarious story. Prince shared about how one time, a cinema staff confused him for Living in Bondage actor, Swanky JKA as well as the drama that followed that afterwards. The tweets read:

9. He actively refuses to check his bank account

When one tweeter posted a tweet saying “Being afraid to check your balance is the ADULT version of checking your school GRADEs”, Prince responded back saying:

10. He describes himself as a “gym junkie”

He’s into football, basketball, and swimming. He also loves going to the gym and cites his best feature as his abs.

11. Prince was a huge BBNaija fan before going into the house

When the last season of Big Brother Naija was on, Prince dedicated his Twitter and social media to dissecting and talking about BBNaija all the time. How strange that a year later, he was the one on the show and others were tweeting out their thoughts about him on the show. So funny.

That’s All.
