On Tuesday, the former Aviation Minister Femi Fani – Kayode warned that if we do not restructure now, Nigeria will cease to exist, adding that a second civil war is imminent if the bridges of peace are not mended. It should be recalled that over the years many Nigerians, politicians, political office holders, non – governmental organizations, as well as different enthnic groups in the nation have been clamouring for restructuring of the country.
Femi Fani – Kayode who was the former minister of Aviation under President Goodluck Jonathan administration between 2011 to 2015.
He made the statement via his twitter handle, “If we do not build bridges of peace today, our country will suffer a second civil war and cease to exist, ” the minister tweeted.
It should not be forgotten that the effects of the first civil war are still reflecting in the country till now.
This statement was made by Femi Fani – Kayode citing the consequences of not having an Igbo presidency in 2023.
Femi Fani – Kayode warned that if the presidency does not go to the South in 2023, Nigeria will also cease to exist.
“Our country will break down and cease to exist if the Presidency does not come to the south in 2023. ”
Femi Fani – Kayode added that “If we do not restructure our country as soon as possible, it will break up and cease to exist. ” However, looking at the statement of the former minister, it is my observation that having a Igbo President in 2023 is not the solution to Nigeria’s problem but rather restructuring the country, which will serve as a lasting solution and it will enhance competitiveness among the regions and development and progress will be achieved.
In your own opinion, what did you think this statement made by a former minister of the federal of Nigeria may likely result in in the country.
