The past couple of EPL games has been somehow for Chelsea as they have lost 3 out of 4 and just days after losing to rival Arsenal, they face an Aston Villa side who have been quite decent this season. Frank Lampard made changes on the Chelsea XI with the likes of Giroud, Hudson and Rudiger all starting.
Playing their last game for 2020 at Stamford bridge, Chelsea had the chance to go in front early in the much but Pulisic wasn’t able to find the back of the net.
But they finally got their goal through Oliver Giroud in the 34 minute after finishing off Ben Chilwell’s cross giving Chelsea the lead at half-time 1-0.
This season has seen Chelsea concede lots of goals and today wasn’t of exception as Aston Villa levelled the scores just minutes into the second half as Anwar El Ghazi finished off Matt Cash’s cross.
Despite bringing in Timo Werner and Kai Harvetz, Chelsea couldn’t get a second goal to win the game and eventually ending the match 1-1
With Chelsea taking just a point in this match, they move to 6th on the premier league table with Aston Villa 5th as they have a better goal difference than Chelsea.
