The Blues are currently in a poor run of form, picking up only one win in their last five Premier League matches with pressure increasingly mounting on Frank Lampard and his men after an embarrassing 3-1 defeat to Arsenal, followed by a disappointing draw against Aston Villa on Monday night.
There have been speculations that Chelsea are thinking of replacing their coach if they fail to bounce back to winning ways with former PSG coach Thomas Tuchel being tipped to take over the managerial seat, but reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano has poured cold water on the rumors.
According to the Daily Express, Chelsea will stick with Frank Lampard at the moment and are not in any hurry to change their manager any time soon.
Romano also said that the Blues haven’t made contact with any potential manager, but the board are expecting an improvement from Frank Lampard’s side.
This is good news for fans as to know that the Chelsea chiefs are backing Frank Lampard. And with majority of the starting eleven being players who just arrived Stamat ford Bridge newly, time needs to be given for Lampard to fully integrate his new players into the team.
