The Enugu State Government has
given Public Tertiary Institutions in the state the nod to reopen by October 12th.
Schools have been shut by the Federal Government in the country since March
following scares of the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic in some other parts of
The State Commissioner of Education Professor Uche Eze said in a statement that the decision was arrived at, “following the consensus reached with the management of tertiary institutions in Enugu State after a series of consultations.”
According to the commissioner, each
institution in the state will in time, announce its resumption date after
having met the approved COVID-19 safety rules.
According to the statement, “The
Ministry of Education has set up a monitoring team to ensure that every
institution in the state abides by the approved guidelines for safe operations
in our state.”
